Angiography Manager

Summary:
Coordinates and manages staff, material, and financial resources to achieve patient outcomesServes as a clinical role model using the nursing process to direct, provide, and evaluate age specific patient careEnsures patient care standards are carried out and validates nurse competenciesServes as a change agent and participates on unit and organizational committees.
Responsibilities:
Key customers are patients, families, staff, all ancillary/support people, physicians, peers, all other departments, and staffAssures friendly, helpful, and courteous response to all customers.
QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBS in Nursing, business or related field preferred.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT Three to five years' experience in management of staff, finances, and disciplinary issues.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of North Carolina; certification in field of expertise.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS Supervisory skills with the ability to lead groups and teams.
Good verbal and written communication skills; comprehension skills.
Good public relations and interpersonal skills.
Self-directed and results oriented.
Basic computer knowledge and software experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and airborne pathogens.
Possible exposure to electrical hazards, chemical hazards, radiation, toxic waste.
Occasional exposure to conditions such as fumes, noxious odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
Continuous use of medical/clinical equipment such as IV pumps, monitors, ventilators, oxygen tanks, patient beds, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT Continuously standing, walking, sitting majority of workday.
Some carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting involved in day-to-day activities.
Visual acuity necessary; hearing and talking necessary for communication.
