Summary:
Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat a variety of populations across the lifespan and diagnoses in the outpatient physical therapy department.
Those diagnoses include orthopedic, neurological and sports injuries as well as pediatrics if desired.
We have a strong, experienced outpatient staff and we try to cater your caseload to your strengths and interests.
We also support you in gaining knowledge and experience towards developing new clinical skills.
We encourage a flexible schedule that works for our patients and our staff.
32-40 hours per week can be accommodated as well as a 4 or 5 day work week.
Our therapists work in small teams so you consistently treat the patients that you evaluate to ensure the best outcomes.
On average you will complete 1 evaluation per day with five to six 60-minute treatments scheduled per 8 hour workday.
We strive to keep all treatments 1 on 1 and over 95% of your treatments will be 1 on 1 with your patient.
The Staff Physical Therapists provides patient care assessment and treatment.
Identify, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease/ prevent deformity.
Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students.
Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care.
Participates in CQI activities.
Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.

QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's or master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTNone.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONCurrent NC Board of Physical Therapy license or eligible.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTSAnalytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions.
Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.
WORK ENVIRONMENTExposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors.
Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTStanding for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
