org SUMMARY The position of Building Maintenance worker reports directly to the Residential and Campus Manager and is responsible for assisting with routine repairs which are needed to buildings on campus.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
Valid drivers license and be able to operate an agency vehicle.
Knowledge and ability to operate various types of tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
Work in and out of doors in varying weather conditions without restrictions.
Effectively handle and lift various objects weighing up to 60 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to manage and complete multiple tasks, and work independently as well as in a team according to task assigned with limited supervision.

Complete repairs needed to buildings on campus, including those which require skilled experience in electrical, plumbing and /or carpentry, and maintains campus grounds as needed.
Repair potholes, fertilize/lime grounds, spread pine needles and mulch, and clean up limbs and other debris as directed by the supervisor.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Keep maintenance supervisor informed of items needing maintenance or repair, or situations requiring the supervisor's knowledge and expertise.
May be required to work additional hours to assist with special events.

in a professional manner.
Respect the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of staff members and children in care and strives to create a positive relationship within BCH Participate in the agency's Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) program as needed Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
