This position is designated mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
The Education Services Department at Caswell Developmental Center provides educational opportunities for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities.
Instruction is provided in residential homes, kitchens, and classroom/activity areas throughout the facility.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide instruction that is consistent withstate/federal regulations which promotes growth and learning in self-care, dining, domestic,communication/socialization, money management, and functional academics.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Conducts evaluations on assigned caseload utilizing a variety of assessment tools and strategies; compiles results and presents evaluation results to an interdisciplinary team on assigned individuals.
Conducts baselines in a variety of areas, assesses performance, documents responses, and creates/writes objective statements and plans using specific instructional techniques designed to promote learning.
Builds skills and creates independence of those assigned to caseload.
Analyzes/interprets responses to instruction (data) and documents progress/regression with information needed to inform team members of monthly status.
Conducts instructional training sessions, provides training to Educational Developmental Assistants and Direct Support staff on specific training techniques and instructional objective plans and corresponding data sheets for recording responses.
Monitors instructional sessions,activities, and training.
Revises strategies and time frames to best meet the needs of each learner.
Develops curriculum, activities and creates schedules for Educational Developmental Assistant and for individuals on assigned caseload.
Participates as a member of interdisciplinary teams to develop plans for habilitation, instructional objective training, and activities and provides input for active treatment schedules.
Regularly presents instructional information and data results to interdisciplinary team members in decision making meetings to create and revise individual life plans andprograms.
Provides oversight of instructional service delivery by in-servicing instructional objectives and educational protocols, monitoring instructional training and activities based on identified strengths, needs, and preferences.
Designs learning environments that best meets learning styles and promotes independence.
Position provides training, supervision and or oversight to paraprofessionals which may include Educational Developmental Assistants and/or Direct Support staff.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
