We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Technician to join our team.
As a Network Operations Center Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and maintaining the InfinityLink broadband network.
NOC Techs open trouble tickets and works to repair network equipment/facilities in conjunction with field operations, tech support and others.
Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures Assist field operations with swaps, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
Knowledge of Broadband network topology.
Knowledge of Ethernet router / switch equipment is a plus.
Ability to follow established procedures, anticipate network issues in advance of issues.
A basic understanding of telecom, network topology and repair procedures.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in NOC environment, sometimes for extended hours and is available to work all hours.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, contractors, and customers.
As Network Operations Technician, your duties will include:
Maintaining excellent acknowledgement and response time to alarms and customer calls Providing quality documentation of network failures and maintenance activity Collection of data, determine the cause of the issue, and determine appropriate solution to prevent reoccurrence.
Analyzing, diagnosing, sectionalizing, isolating, and resolving trouble situations Managing multiple network issues simultaneously Communicating with other team members, customers and others during a repair situation Providing Tier I support Interacting with repair teams and initiating escalations as necessary Follow up and close assigned trouble tickets.
Working in 24x7 environment and may need to work evenings, nights and/or weekends and holidays Qualifications Knowledge and experience in network architecture of Broadband / XGSPON network systems and configurations Basic understanding of Ethernet router / switch and PON network equipment is a plus Knowledge of Element Management Systems (EMS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), network inventory, alarming, provisioning and other support systems Proficiency in interpersonal communications, particularly with up and downstream personnel at all company levels Effective oral, written and presentation skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office program suite.
Preference for applicants with:
